Port Washington State Bank is a family owned bank that has served Ozaukee County since 1899.  According to James Schowalter(shown above), "While the Thiensville and western Mequon market is now served by several regional bank offices, it was determined through market research and local outreach that the area would benefit from the services and involvement of a truly independent community bank.  Port Washington State Bank already numbers many households and businesses as customers in the area and intends to build on and expand those and new relationships with this office."

The bank has $540 million in assets and 115 people are employed.  The new branch (pictured above) will open in May.  Not only did they improve a blighted property located at Main and Spring Street, they are establishing a scholarship at Homestead High School.
