Homestead High School Senior was named the TM Rotary Club's first Student of the Month for the 2025-2026 school year. Addison Drumm is a creative and enthusiastic student and volunteer. She leads both the Theater and Latin Clubs, works at a local veterinary clinic, and coordinates volunteers dedicated to protecting our planet.

Tuesday, December 2, is your chance to meet Chef Hadley Shully, daugher of Beth and Scott Shully, founders of Shully's Cuisine & Events. She is now the Head Chef and new owner, with her siblings.
Chef Hadley continues the 42-year family tradition, shaping the company’s culinary direction with a fresh, forward-thinking vision. Born into the world of hospitality, Hadley was immersed in the food industry from a young age. Growing up working in various roles within the family business, she developed a comprehensive understanding of catering and event execution.
Hadley enrolled at the International Culinary Center (ICC) in New York City, where she refined her skills in both classic and contemporary cuisine. She traveled to Sicily for a culinary stint at the two-star Michelin San Domenico Palace Hotel, living and working on-site. There, she immersed herself in Mediterranean flavors and traditional Italian techniques—an experience that profoundly shaped her culinary approach.
After several years in Chicago, Hadley returned to Shully's, which she and her siblings purchased in 2024. Chef Hadley Shully is carrying forward her family’s legacy blending tradition with innovation to create food that is both thoughtful and deeply personal. Honoring the past while shaping the future of Milwaukee’s culinary landscape.
Tuesday, December 9, our speaker will be Ace Rodrigues, founder of Pickleball Kingdom.
Ace thought something many pickleballers have thought. “I love everything about pickleball! Well, except the sun, the wind, the rain, the heat, the cold, and the waiting?” That's how the idea for Pickleball Kingdom got started. He loved the sport, especially the spirit of it, but wanted to eliminate the downsides of playing outdoors. Since no ball in any sport is more affected by the wind, it just makes sense to play indoors.
On May 2, 2022, the first Pickleball Kingdom opened in Chandler, Arizona to much fanfare! It has the outdoor surfaces that everyone knows and loves, but with all the indoor benefits. At the heart of Pickleball Kingdoms are vibrant, welcoming communities. Whether you are brand new to the sport or a pro, you will feel at home in the Kingdom. Pickleball Kingdom was designed so that nothing affects your game, but your game. Pickleball will bring you in to the Kingdom, but our Community and Culture will make you want to stay.
Rotary District 6270 has named Dr. Jenne Hohn of Ozaukee County the 2025 Rotary Member Recipient of the Agent of Peace Award, honoring her tireless service in advancing inclusion, accessibility, and community connection across Ozaukee County.
A dedicated member of the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club, Dr. Hohn exemplifies Rotary’s motto of ”Service Above Self”. She devotes countless volunteer hours to Special Olympics Ozaukee County, coaching multiple sports teams. She spent five years serving as a Unified Golf Partner. Inspired by her late friend Ken Kuemmerlein, she has built lasting friendships and opportunities for athletes of all abilities to thrive.
“Through her compassion and leadership, Jenne demonstrates how peace is achieved through action,” said District 6270 Past District Governor Don Griffing. “She helps people see ability before disability – and community before difference.”
Beyond Special Olympics, Dr. Hohn co-chairs the Mequon Rotary Park Inclusive Playground Project, an initiative to create a fully accessible play space for children and families of all abilities. When completed, the 1.5-acre playground will serve as a regional model for inclusive recreation.
“Peace begins when everyone has a place to belong,” Griffing said.
Dr. Hohn also volunteers with the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, Blossom IDD, and Mel’s Charities in Cedarburg – continuing her mission to make every corner of the community more welcoming and inclusive.
The Agent of Peace Award, presented annually by Rotary District 6270, recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to peacebuilding and humanitarian service. One award is given each year to a community member and one to a Rotary member from within District 6270.

All we know now is that the families served by Family Sharing of Ozaukee County will win. At this difficult time when government help has been delayed, the weather is getting colder, and the holidays are upon us, donations are needed more than ever.
