Just days away is the beginning of the annual Family Sharing Initiative to stock the shelves at Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. The need greater than ever! This is the time to open your hearts, your pantries, and your wallets to support the vital work being done by Julie Hoover and her team. Julie will be at our meeting Tuesday to tell us more about Family Sharing and kick off the initiative.
But this is not just a way to provide food for the hungry. This is a way to prove just who the most generous Rotarians may be. The two teams will be captianed by Sandy Custer and Jenne Hohn. We know that Angelica Niemann is a creative, dedicated volunteer, as well as a fabulous marketing manager at Spectrum Investment Advisors. Now the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce has awarded her the 2025 Next Generation Leadership Award.
The Chamber described Angelica as follows: "A standout professional and dedicated community advocate, Angelica has quickly become a driving force in Ozaukee County, recognized for her leadership, creativity, and unwavering commitment to making a difference."
This well deserved honor puts her in incredible company. As I was listening to the award presentations and looking around the room I realized just how esteemed is the group to which she now belongs. Among these many honorees are many members of our Rotary Club. In the thirty years the Chamber has been honoring community members, at least 15 honorees are members of our club, and many more members of the morning club.
The TM Rotary Club was visited by Spiderman at our final meeting of October. He trick or treated from table to table for candy, but picked up $840 along the way for Polio Plus! Turns out this sentational Spiderman's alter ego is three-year-old Emmett Bailey, Sean's son.
