Behind the Scenes of Science: A CEO’s View of MPM’s Bold New Chapter, Dr. Ellen J. Censky
Milwaukee Public Museum is at an exciting point in its 144-year history with construction of its new, iconic building underway and an opening date slated for early 2027. Dr. Ellen Censky, President & CEO of the Milwaukee Public Museum, will give an overview of the project and provide an insider's look at the architecture, exhibits plan and what it takes to build a natural history museum and move more than four million collections items.

A Cedarburg native, Dr. Censky began her career at the Milwaukee Public Museum in 1977. She went on to serve in other leadership capacities nationally, including at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, where she received national recognition for her work in founding and developing the BioBlitz program, which is now a staple community outreach program at institutions in every U.S. state and in countries around the world.

Marshall named Pillar of Community
It is no surprise to anyone in the TM Rotary Club that Jim Marshall has been named the 2026 Mequon Thiensville Community Foundation's Pillar of the Community.

Make your reservation with Shelly Weston to celebrate Jim at the Pillar of the Community Award Luncheon Tuesday, June 2, at the River Club.

Jim exemplifies what it means to be a true community pillar—someone whose leadership, generosity, integrity, and vision have strengthened Mequon and Thiensville for more than three decades. His entrepreneurial drive, commitment to service, and dedication to improving the lives of others have left an extraordinary and lasting mark in our communities, and indeed, throughout Ozaukee County.

The League of Women Voters of Ozaukee and Washington Counties are sponsoring the film 1776 at the Rivoli in Cedarburg, in celebration of our nation's 250 birthday!
Lionfest is June 12, 13, and 14 at Village Park in Thiensville. The Thiensville-Mequon Lions Club annually donates approx. $100,000.
The T-M Lions club serves in 2 ways: by doing local service projects, and by donating to a wide variety of charities.
To make Lionfest a success requires a village -- and a city. If you are able to volunteer (and truly, there's something for everyone), sign up for volunteer shift. Click on the following link to sign up: https://tmlions.org/volunteer2026/
