Jim Counsellor, accompanied by his son, Bryce, went on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC, where he saw the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He took the opportunity to literally reflect upon his service, and his brothers in arms who never made it home. 

 

The memorial includes the names of over 58,000 servicemen and women who gave their lives in service in the Vietnam conflict. The memorial includes the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall, the Three Servicemen statue and the Vietnam Women's Memorial.

Our own Angelica Neimann serves on the Board of the Ozaukee County Jail Literacy Program. September 16 she will share with us how the program positively impacts incarcerated individuals, their families, and the community, and results in a recividism rate among program graduates of just 46%.
