All Kadadha
Rotary Global Grant Scholar

Alla Kadadha is the Wisconsin’s Rotary Global Grant Scholar of 2015. She has recently completed a masters degree in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies at King’s College London. During her studies she specialized in Middle Eastern conflicts including Palestine/Israel, Syria, and Iraq. Her research studies have focused on analyzing political transitions and economies throughout the region and how the two have played in driving conflicts in the Middle East. In September she completed her dissertation which focused on the re-emergence of the economic peace theory in conflict resolution and international relations literature, and engaged the on-going debate on the ability of the theory’s mechanisms to lead to sustainable peace. Using the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as a case study, she explored the role of Israeli and Palestinian business elites and their pursuit of joint economic cooperation projects under occupation, and how economic peace rather lead to a heightened state of hostilities rather than a resolution to the conflict.

She has graduating with distinction, and was recently awarded for best dissertation in the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at King’s College London. She currently resides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she is living with her husband, and looking for employment opportunities in research and international development consulting.
