Sometimes naming just one student of the month is not enough. In April the Thiensville Mequon Rotary Club, awarded two college-bound Homestead High School seniors this honor.
Aahana Singh and Ian Godden both belong to Homestead’s Interact Club. Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.
Aahana is also involved with sports, academic clubs, and a variety of volunteer activities. She is the daughter of Parul and Kuldeep Singh.
Ian is a visual artist who finds plenty of time to volunteer, mentor his teammates on the varsity swim team, and participate in Latin Club. He is the son of Scott and Michelle Godden.
Barbara Thompson is the Rotary Club’s Vocational Service Chair. She and President Jim Counsellor offered their hearty congratulations to these two outstanding teens at the April 21 meeting of the club.
