Rotary District 6270 has named Dr. Jenne Hohn of Ozaukee County the 2025 Rotary Member Recipient of the Agent of Peace Award, honoring her tireless service in advancing inclusion, accessibility, and community connection across Ozaukee County.
A dedicated member of the Thiensville-Mequon Rotary Club, Dr. Hohn exemplifies Rotary’s motto of ”Service Above Self”. She devotes countless volunteer hours to Special Olympics Ozaukee County, coaching multiple sports teams. She spent five years serving as a Unified Golf Partner. Inspired by her late friend Ken Kuemmerlein, she has built lasting friendships and opportunities for athletes of all abilities to thrive.
“Through her compassion and leadership, Jenne demonstrates how peace is achieved through action,” said District 6270 Past District Governor Don Griffing. “She helps people see ability before disability – and community before difference.”
Beyond Special Olympics, Dr. Hohn co-chairs the Mequon Rotary Park Inclusive Playground Project, an initiative to create a fully accessible play space for children and families of all abilities. When completed, the 1.5-acre playground will serve as a regional model for inclusive recreation.
“Peace begins when everyone has a place to belong,” Griffing said.
Dr. Hohn also volunteers with the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, Blossom IDD, and Mel’s Charities in Cedarburg – continuing her mission to make every corner of the community more welcoming and inclusive.
The Agent of Peace Award, presented annually by Rotary District 6270, recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to peacebuilding and humanitarian service. One award is given each year to a community member and one to a Rotary member from within District 6270.
